The WCO (World Customs Organisation) have published the changes to the Harmonized System Nomenclature (HSEN), which is due to come into force 1 January 2017.
There is an increase of approx 200 additional HS codes and revisions or changes to existing classifications.
If you import any of the following, you may need to review the classification of your items, and also any certificates of origin (or similar) generated by your suppliers:
- Machinery sector
- Chemical sector
- Wood and forestry sector
- Base metal sector
- Transport sector
- Dairy sector
- Lighting and other minor sectors
