The Department of Agriculture (DWAR) restrictions and measures apply to sea cargo shipped from the United States between September 2016, and April 2017.
The restrictions for the goods vary depending on the commodity, the method of shipment, and the shipment departure date.
A brief summary:
1 Sept 2016 – 30 April 2017 – All USED goods in target tariffs that are FCL/FCX must be treated (preferably prior to departure and container sealed before departure)
1 Sept 2016 – 1 Dec 2016 manufacture date of goods, and shipped before 30 April 2017 – All target goods must undergo treatment.
1 Dec 2016 – 30 April 2017 manufacture date of goods, and shipped before 30 April 2017 require a consignment specific declaration advising dates of manufacture and supplier.
Break Bulk / RoRo goods treated before 1 Dec 2016 must be treated in a 96 hour window.
